RELEASE NOTES Changes from release 1.1 to 2.0 ------------------------------- The library file, lib_rw11.c, has been changed to make to make the drive and motor functions use fixed rather than floating point numbers. The demo-one.c file was altered to accommodate those changes. The previous MS-DOS beta versions of dl and ic have been upgraded to be the official release. To maintain consistency between lib_rw11.c and the supplied demo code, the right bump switch should plug into the socket labeled A in Figure 1.1 of the Assembly Guide, the left bump switch should plug into socket B, and the rear bump switch should plug into socket C. Changes from release 1.0 to 1.1 ------------------------------- The pcode (file pcoderwl.s19) has been updated to remove references to switches that exist on the 6.270 board but not Rug Warrior. These references caused incorrect operation under some circumstances. Some obsolete sections have been removed from the pcode. The LCD startup procedure has been improved. The file pcoderwl.s19 is used by both Mac and MS-DOS versions of IC. Improvements are underway on the MS-DOS version of the IC compiler and the downloader. Beta versions of each file (dlbeta.exe and icbeta.exe) are included with the MS-DOS distribution. The beta downloader attempts to detect whether the cable is connected correctly. (The Mac version does not yet check this condition.) The beta compiler has been altered to eliminate an out-of-memory condition that sometimes occurred. A robot demonstration program, demo-one.c, is now included. Documentation for this program is included at the beginning of the demo-one.c file.
